Is it possible to book a private tour?

Absolutely. Please contact us by Live Chat, email, our contact form or by phone +385 (0)21 773 707 to book a private tour.

How much does the tour cost?

The cost for a semi-private tour is €120 per person. A 20 deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining 100 per person is due at the beginning of the tour.

We offer group discounts starting with parties of 15 or more. Please contact us to arrange a group tour.

Is the tour handicap accessible?

Unfortunately, no. The walking tour of both the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace and the 2,000-year-old Klis Fortress involve stairs, especially the latter. Considering their age and construction, they have not been made handicap accessible as of yet.

Is it required to book the tour in advance, or can I just show up the day of?

Our tour includes a traditional barbecue meal at the water mill filming location. As such, all bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. For last minute bookings, please contact us directly.

What happens after I book the Split tour?

Upon booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation with a QR code for each ticket you purchase. If you purchase 3 tickets, you’ll receive 3 automated booking confirmations. This booking confirmation will include your selected tour date, selected tour time, contact number, meeting point location and diet restrictions (if provided). It will also include our direct contact information and cancellation/no-show policy.

If you have not received your automated email confirmation, please check your SPAM folder. If you still cannot locate this email, contact us directly to request new confirmations.

What is your cancellation policy?

For cancellations received at least 72 hours prior to the tour, we will provide a 100% refund of the deposit. Within 72 hours of the tour, the deposit is non-refundable. Regardless of time frame, we request that you let us know by email, contact form or by phone at +385 (0)92 374 1545 if you do not plan to attend so that we may cancel your meal preparation.

For guests that do not show up for the tour without notice or that cancel less than 24 hours before the tour, we will charge the billing credit card a 40EUR no show fee per person.

Will there be walking on the tour?

Yes, there will be a medium amount of walking during the visits to Diocletian’s Palace and Klis Fortress.

What should I bring with me on the tour?

It is best to bring sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes and a hat.

What type of meal is provided?

The meal includes either traditional Croatian veal peka barbecue with vegetables, or grilled trout served with polenta. If we are given at least 24 hours notice, it is possible to accommodate most dietary restrictions. Please provide any dietary instructions during booking or by email.

Where is the the meeting point?

Upon booking, you’ll receive an automated email confirmation that includes directions to the meeting point. The meeting point is located just outside Diocletian’s Palace in the city center.

Which filming locations will I visit on the tour?

During the tour, you’ll visit Diocletian’s Palace, Klis Fortress and the historic 600-year-old Žrnovnica water mill outside Split.

Will a tour be canceled due to rain?

If there is heavy rain, we’ll reschedule your tour to the next possible time slot. If the weather is still too heavy, we’ll refund your deposit.

Will we get to see the actors during filming?

Unfortunately, no. HBO is very strict about keeping a closed set to prevent details about each new season from becoming public. During filming, some of the filming locations will be closed, in which case we’ll provide a modified version of the tour at a discounted rate.

How many people are on each tour?

All of our tours are semi-private, with 2-7 people maximum per time slot.

However, we can arrange group tours for parties of more than 7. Group discounts start with parties of 15 or more. Please contact us to arrange a group tour.

How long is the tour?

The tour lasts about 4 1/2 hours. At the end of the tour, you will return to Split by car, which takes about 20 minutes.

Do I have to pay any admission fees during the tour?

No. Your tour cost includes all admission fees.

Can children attend the tour?

Only children above the age of 12 can attend the semi-private tour. If you have a child 11 or younger and wish to take the tour, a private tour is required. Private tours cost a flat fee of 50euros per party.

For those with young children, please note that there are moderate amounts of walking, multiple sets of stairs and one significant hill included in the tour.

Are food and drinks provided during the tour?

Absolutely. Once you arrive at the water mill filming location, you’ll enjoy a traditional Croatian peka barbecue lunch including homemade bread and local wine. Peka contains slow-cooked veal and vegetables. You may request fish instead during the booking process.

Dubrovnik Tour

Are food and drinks provided during the tour?

There is no food or drink provided during the Dubrovnik Walking Tour.

Can children join the tour?

Yes, of course. Considering the 300+ steps, we recommend that you do not bring a child that requires a stroller.

For tours with young children under the age of 7, a private tour is required. Please contact us directly for availability.

Can I book a private tour?

Definitely. Contact us by email or contact form to arrange a private tour. Costs vary depending on the number of people in your party.

Do I have to pay any admission fees during the tour?

Nope. The tour cost includes ALL admission fees. There is nothing extra or hidden.

The tour costs 55 euros per person. 10euros per person is required as a deposit to reserve the spot online. The remaining 45euros per person is due in cash at the time of the tour.

Unfortunately, no. There are more then 300 stairs to climb and total walking distance of of 1,5-3 km (depending on a tour), making the tour not wheelchair accessible. However, we can create a custom private tour that is wheelchair accessible. Contact us by live chat, email or contact form for details.

Start times for the Dubrovnik tour are scheduled throughout the day on a first-come, first-serve basis and are assigned based on up-to-the-minute availability. We will then contact you at your billing email address provided during booking with directions to the meeting point and your scheduled start time.

What happens if I lose my personal belongings on the tour?

The cost of the tour does not include travel insurance and we take no responsibility for personal injuries or loss of personal belongings.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Tour will not be cancelled due to bad weather conditions and money will not be refunded. If possible, we will attempt to reschedule your tour to another day weather and availability permitting.

What time does the walking tour start?

Start times for the Dubrovnik tour are scheduled throughout the day on a first-come, first-serve basis and are assigned based on up-to-the-minute availability. Once your booking is received, availability will be checked and your start time will be assigned. We will then contact you at your billing email address provided during booking with directions to the meeting point and your scheduled start time.

Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.

Where is the meeting point in Dubrovnik?

For the Dubrovnik Walking Tour, your guide will meet you next to the fountain at Pile Gate at 9:20am. You can view a map of the meeting point here.

The tour guide will be holding a Lannister banner. Tour begins promptly at 9:30am. Printed tour voucher and/or an electronic version (PDF) on your smartphone must be presented at time of tour.

Will there be walking on the tour?

Yes. There are over 300 stairs we’ll climb and the walking distance ranges from 1,5km to 3,0km. Definitely bring comfortable walking shoes.
