The fourth episode “Sons of the Harpy” featured many shots filmed inside Diocletian’s Palace. You can explore both the basements and narrow streets where these scenes were filmed on our highly rated tour.
Without further ado, let’s get started.
This episode was a bloody one for Meereen, the Unsullied and the Sons of the Harpy. In retaliation for the murder of one of the Sons of the Harpy as well as their anger with Daenarys’ control of Meereen, the Sons of the Harpy set a trap for her Unsullied soldiers.
We first see the Sons walking through the catacombs, masks and all, which was filmed in the substructures of Diocletian’s Palace in the center of Split.
Meanwhile, the Unsullied patrol the streets of Meereen unaware of what is about to happen.
The Unsullied hear commotion and screams and head towards the trap set for them.
Running through the streets of the city to find out what is happening, they end up at the market of Meereen where a lady directs them towards the Sons of Harpies.
The Unsullied enter the stone corridor where the Sons of the Harpy are waiting for them.
With the Unsullied surrounded and outnumbered, a bloody clash ensues.
Barristan Selmy hears the clash and joins the fight.
At the end of a brutal fight, only scattered bodies from both sides remain including Grey Worm and Barristan Selmy.
